[ on this fine tuesday, temenos is hanging out in... the library! he's sitting at a table and there are like. stacks on stacks of books piled up nearby. with his chin propped in his hand, he appears to be reading one laying flat on the table.

...though, he yawns after a long moment, so, maybe it's not that interesting...? and eventually he rubs the space between his temples and sighs. seems like a good moment for a chat! ]

[ sir your books. nico is here and he's glancing at this stack of books, trying to determine what he's reading from a distance. ]

The good thing about the library is there's a lot more books available to us than I thought there would be. [ hello! ]

[ there's all kinds of stuff! there's some history texts, some science texts, a couple mythology texts, a bible, a book on astronomy.... so many! ]

Many books, and not much in the way of current events. [ ahhh. temenos smiles at nico when he speaks up, a little bit wry. god. ] A place that is certainly very dedicated to its newspaper and not so dedicated to its archives. Have you been hunting through, too?

[ he appears to be at the vending machines at this time of night, mostly because he needed to get out of the trial room and do something...not that. but he's grabbing two bottles of water when he feels a presence nearby, and he turns to glance at temenos. ]

...do you think it's fair to rule her as a villain for what she clearly believes is an accident?

[ this icon is beautiful?? holds his face.

but. ah, that's the question of the hour. here's temenos, quiet and just heading for a walk, expression placid, but when nico addresses him, he glances over and makes a soft noise. ]

...No, I don't. [ tbh. ] But it seems the system here sees only in black and white.

[ it truly is the question, isn't it? ]

I don't know if I would call it black and white. That would mean that it's unfeeling entirely. [ ... ] I don't necessarily agree with an execution. But I don't think this idea of justice suits what we're supposed to accomplish here.

[ he doesn't necessarily disagree either but he's smart enough not to say that. ]

but he does arrive to the library! he's seeking out temenos, and when he finds him he gives a short nod. ]

Back here again, Temenos? [ not that he's bothered. ]

[ thank you him either. none texting. temenos glances up from the book he's currently reading - it's open and flat on the table - and offers a smile when he hears the familiar voice. ]

I haven't had this much access to a large library in a long time - I'd like to take advantage of it. Imagine this: the Church of the Sacred Flame only ever carries literature on and relating to the Church.

[ his dry sense of humor is on full blast here, but he reaches over to nudge out a chair so there's space. ] Come, sit.

Uh...maybe? We have photobooths at home, but I'm not really familiar with how they work. And these ones seem even more advanced. [ but there is no denying he is curious. ] Should we take a closer look?

[ art store! for art...nico is definitely getting lost among these aisles, but he seems to have a couple of things in a little basket already? some pencils, a pad of paper, etc. but he turns the aisle and he stops short upon seeing temenos. ]

Morning. [ is it morning. it's debatable given how sometimes he wakes up late, but it's fine. ] Do you have any idea how long I've been wandering around looking for an eraser?

anyway it's mornoon! temenos is in the display area where the colored pencils are, picking out a few shades to an already fairly full basket - when nico calls out to him, he tilts his head back and offers him a smile. ]

Since prior to its opening, I'd bet. [ but, he trots over. ] Quite the maze, isn't it? We certainly can't have something nice.

Perhaps I could be of assistance. Which ways have you been so far...?

I do appreciate it. I've retired to my room for the moment - everyone has been very forthcoming and kind, if a bit fussy for my taste.

I'm quite alright. I've had worse. It's not even the first time I've fought what must have been some sort of god. [ can you feel the dry lol humor in this sentence ]

[ he's picking up coffee from the cafe this morning. this may be his second or third cup which, like, he can already hear the dionysus in his head reprimanding him for the sheer amount of caffeine not being good for his sleep cycles but whatever, mr. d. the cocoa puff is on his shoulder and he's taking a sip of his drink as his eyes roam the cafe before spotting a familiar face.

so he wanders and pulls out a chair to have a seat at temenos's table. ]

Everything a little more normal today? [ how are your powers, sir. ]

[ as someone who also enjoys A) caffeine and B) sleeping late because he is a Night Guy, temenos is also out here at the cafe today, holding his second cup in his own hands, notebook on the table in front of him. mr. d is wrong caffeine is great.

when nico comes to join him, he offers him a smile immediately, and holds out his hand to greet cocoa puff as always. ]

I seem to be a bit more clumsy than usual, but otherwise, so far, so good. It is nice to be back where things belong, so to speak. [ his HOLY LIGHT ] How eventful has your morning been, pray tell? Or, afternoon, I suppose.
