Yes, I agree. One can only say "yes, I am alright, I have had worse" so many times.
Ah. It's just conjecture, but I believe the dragon may have been some sort of god. Based on the context of where we were - or at least some sort of legendary being. He was a very stalwart ally to have throughout, though... I don't know that we needed to fight the dog, but, I can't say that I'm all that surprised, either.
honestly when faced with a monster the answer is always to fight it if it appears hostile first mostly because they won't leave you alone otherwise legendary beings and gods are a little different i think but i get the point ...man where did you guys even go?
Yes - by the time we'd already run into the fray, it was far too late. I'm not unused to that sort of antic by any means, but I usually go into it much more prepared. As for beings and gods! I suppose it depends on where. But I won't debate the theological right now, that seems like we could talk around for ages.
As for where we went... it was an interesting place. One that was devoid of humans and only had the creatures such as our partners. Though apparently humans had been there, once upon a time - perhaps children. And there were the structures of a human society. A school not unlike the one here, for example, though dilapidated. We found ourselves initially at a shrine, much like one you would see in Hinouema, of Solistia. Quite different from a church.
[ which is about all he says to the first part because yeah, he's used to (some) preparations and they sure could talk forever about gods and beings, he thinks. ]
it's always whole other worlds when we get taken to these places it sounds desolate but also not entirely bad what were these creatures? if people used to live there...was it a destroyed society? and who was the shrine for?
[ crawls back to this tag hours before mingle drop i'm sorry life is hell ]
From what I've heard, it was the same for everyone. I wonder if there's a relation? At least one...perhaps even two of these have had to do with our cadre. Perhaps these worlds we are visiting are those of our intrepid leaders. Though, that is only a theory.
Desolate is a good word. I'm not sure if it was destroyed or not. The creatures we worked with did not have much information on it, merely that it existed. As for the shrine... There were several cave paintings of large creatures not unlike the one we faced. The dragon, that is. It may have been the dragon's shrine, but, we didn't quite have time to confirm anything. Once Ace opened the door to the shrine, things escalated.
That being said, I thought it interesting - there were some spots that were magically enhanced, and one of them did allow me access to my holy magic, so, I wouldn't be surprised if it was still considered an active site of some kind.

based on what i heard from tama and a few others i had wondered the same thing not that there's any way to really ask and confirm it, but it's a thought it's weird you were allowed magic when everywhere else we've been our powers have been cut off completely plus we lose all of our items each time so far so the inconsistency might lead into your idea that the worlds belong to the leaders somehow it's very strange why this keeps happening though like...if it's just to retrieve pages of stuff then why can't we get them another way?
