...yes. Perhaps their experience was an outlier - a concerning one, but an outlier nonetheless. I pray any other trips will be more along the lines of what we've had so far.
[ since the two groups last week also came back unharmed, just cranky. ]
Axel's told me a bit. Something about seeing the future? And...Breakers?
[ you pulled this with me re: vax and emet-selch. ]
They’re a lot easier to manage when they’re like the one we had. I wouldn’t say the whole experience was great but none of us got brutally injured…
[ it’s very funny we had two chill-ish ones, whatever the third one was, and then these four clowns in a purikura booth. ]
Mmhmm. He could see the future through photographs. I could see it through mirrors. We kinda took it upon ourselves to try and stop the futures we saw from happening — it was just stopping a teacher from dying at first, but then it escalated all the way to stopping Axel’s death.
It could’ve been a disaster, but somehow we got through it. He really would’ve died, I think. It was to “prevent more death further down the line”, but… I don’t think I could live with something like that.
Saya and Sigrun went to another place to us at the very beginning of the whole thing. We didn’t see them the whole time. [ she thinks. ]
Well. I suppose I should thank you for having that sort of attitude. He seems the type to run himself into reckless danger - how lucky that you were there supervising.
[ so. thanks for bringing his teammate back home safely. there's a slightly wry smile to it, the sense that he knows that not letting someone get killed is like, bare minimum of a Good Person but also!!! thank you. ]
...That's interesting, too. The group the week before was separated, mostly, as I remember...? I wonder what these adventures are even for.
To be fair to him, he didn't want to die either. The insistence it would save more people later on didn't sit too well with him either, but honestly... what happens in the future is in the future. It's pretty normal to want to protect what you can in the moment.
[ she brought back a bunny just in time for y'all to lose one. said like we didn't lose a goat too. ]
Covering more ground? We got some information at the end of it too, I don't know if Axel talked about that.

...More heroic than a heist, certainly.
[ what is the theme here. (the answer is that there isn't one.) ]
From what I've heard, you were able to prevent it? He mentioned the two of you were working together. What about the others...?

[ :/ why do people WANT to die temenos will never understand.
but, ah. ]
Yes - the note. I thought it quite interesting - there are several implications presented to us by that sort of information, aren't there?

You think the people we keep seeing around the city are "failed heroes"? Like the shady blue haired one. [ saaammmmpppooooooo ]
