I can say with honesty this is the first time I've ever heard teen drama referred to as combat.

What does your day-do-day look like? Having it interrupted by this place has been so strange.

...well... the past few months have been quite different from my usual. I've been traveling - on the road across the two continents on something of a journey along with my companions. It was coming to its near conclusion just before I came here.

How rude of them to interrupt your journey. What were you traveling for?

Well. Each of us had our own paths, so to speak.

[ ha ha get it. it's an octopath joke ]

But... on my path, I suppose I was searching for the truth. Rather, I was unraveling a conspiracy that ended up having large consequences. Most recently, though, I assisted my companion in dealing with some ... family matters. Things like that.

Woah, a conspiracy...! That sounds way bigger than some family matters!

Ahaha. It does, doesn't it? But, you'd be surprised.

[ who has family problems in octopath traveler. like 50% of them. it's fine. ] His was less so a conspiracy and moreso the deposition of a cruel ruler, though, that's not my story to tell.

It is certainly more exciting than tending the proverbial flocks in Flamechurch, I will give you that.
