I assumed so. I'll pick out the tea and sweets. Perhaps the park? It's a bit dark, but I can find a sanctuary spot and give us some light. Are there any flavors you'd like me to bring?
I take it where you were was no Heaven. I'll be there in a little while. Ten minutes or so.
[ and sure enough!! temenos is right on time, carting a little basket under one arm, a picnic blanket over the top of his arm. he's holding a lantern with his other hand, and smiles at mika when he spots her.
he's a big baby about his baby feelings so he's at an acceptable distance at the moment, but also. ]
Little la~amb. [ a little singsong. he waves his fingers in a greeting!! hi. ]
[ but once she's there she'll hurry over to him. sorry about his feelings, she doesn't have a brain to think about why someone might keep distance this week. yay!!! ]
they're such big baby feelings. for someone who is very placid on the surface, all of his big baby emotions are nice and loud - there's relief, and joy, first, a warm recognition, the tiniest ping of sadness, and then.... good olde fashioned catholic embarrassment at being so. Open. gods.
embarrassing. his facial expression doesn't change at all from its usual warm smile. ]
Hmmm. Shepherd. [ a little flicker of teasing. ] I'd prefer rabbit, if you'd like to match, though.
[ the hound... was an insult... not that he took at as one. anyway. it's fine. temenos gestures over to a clearer spot by the lake! there's a bench. ]
Shepherd is a little much... Rabbit's cuter, anyway.
[ but yes! she heads over and sits down on the bench! her emotions are also baby, but in the sense that they're. simplistic. she feels happy, and relieved, and a little bit awkward just because she hasn't been out here in so long. ]
Mm. Perhaps so. [ he laughs a little at that, emotions reflecting amusement as he sets out his spoils. there's four to go cups of teas - a chamomile, an earl grey, a fruit tea and a green tea - a little bit of milk, and then a variety of pastries. cute little strawberry danishes and chocolate croissants and little cakes. all the good stuff.
he passes over a napkin once everything's set up, and offers her a smile. ]
[ clink!! except they're paper cups but whatever. it's the thought. ]
So. Your office building was quite boring, but I'm sure you found ways to brighten things up a bit. You can't have only written newspaper columns: what was it like?
